Hempstead County Burn Ban Still In Effect
By Mark Keith, 10/31/22 10:18 AMWord comes today from Hempstead County Judge Jerry Crane that the Hempstead County Burn Ban is still in effect. Despite receiving some much needed rain over the weekend, it was not enough to cancel the burn ban. What rain we did receive was quickly absorbed by the dry ground and windy conditions will quickly dry out the moisture on the ground. So, until further notice, there is to be no outside burning in Hempstead County. Judge Crane will let us know when the ban can be lifted.
