Swampriders donate toys to Chamber

PRESCOTT – Santa’s helpers arrived at the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce around 11:30 Saturday morning bearing gifts.

Santa’s helpers were, of course, members of the Swamprider Motorcycle Club, and this was part of the club’s annual toy drive. Normally, the club splits the drive between Prescott and Camden, but came to Prescott for the second year in a row to drop off toys and cash. The money will be used to purchase even more toys, all to be used as Bingo prizes during Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 3 at the Potlatch Building.

The bikers braved the cold, riding from their club to the Chamber office to bring the toys and help area children have a better and brighter Christmas this year. One plushy got a bit of a workout as it was played with by one of the biker’s infant’s (who came in a car, not on a motorcycle).

As always, the club members brought toys for both boys and girls.
