73rd Annual Hope Lions Club Auction Set For Dec. 1st Through 3rd

The 73rd annual Hope Lions Club Auction is set for this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Hope’s Fair Park Coliseum.   The annual event has been held since 1950 and raises money for Christmas baskets for needy Hempstead County residents.   The auction will feature a concession stand with homemade food prepared and served by the Hope Evening Lions.  The Evening Lions are famous for their homemade chicken and dumplings as well as their homemade desserts.  A big variety of sandwiches, soups, and desserts will be for sale each evening.  All the money raised by the Evening Lions goes to their community projects.     SWARKToday.com will stream a video “warm up show” Wednesday evening.   Hundreds of local businesses will donate items for the auction.  If you have a business and have not been contacted, you may contact any Lion to donate.
