PRESCOTT – There was  a packed house at the Potlatch Building Saturday for the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Breakfast with Santa event.

Santa was the featured attraction, with children getting their picture taken with the jolly old elf. The line for pictures was long throughout the morning. However, there was more for visitors to do, and they took advantage of it. Bingo was by far and away the most popular game as winners got to select toys for their prize. Once someone won, they had to surrender their seat to another child to make sure as many as possible had a chance to win.

Youngsters also made jingle bell necklaces, reindeer food (after all pulling Santa and the sleigh around on Christmas Eve is hungry work), decorated gift bags and wrote letters to Santa, letting him know what they want for Christmas this year. The cookie decorating table was filled with children decorating cookies the way they saw fit, eating them later. Of course, there was also the breakfast, consisting of a honey bun, fruit cup and drink.

As people left, they were able to get age appropriate gift boxes for their children.
