On December 2, 2022 at approximately 1:40pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Andrew Sherer, 30, of Hope, AR. Mr. Sherer was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of West 10th Street in Hope, AR. Mr. Sherer was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On December 3, 2022 at approximately 1:05pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Michael Ballance, 59, of Hope, AR. Mr. Ballance was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a family member and possession of firearms by certain persons. The arrest occurred in the 800 block of West 6th Street in Hope, AR. Mr. Ballance was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On December 5, 2022 at approximately 10:23am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Christopher Jones, 22, of Emmet, AR. Mr. Jones was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a family member, false imprisonment in the 1st degree, and domestic battery in the 3rd degree. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street in Hope, AR. Mr. Jones was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
On December 5, 2022 at approximately 11:53am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Evany Thomas, 41, of Hope, AR. Ms. Thomas was arrested and charged with 2 counts of battery in the 2nd degree and resisting arrest. The arrest occurred in the 2000 block of South Main Street in Hope, AR. Ms. Thomas was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
