Hempstead County Veterans Service Office Joins With DAR and Providence Baptist to Donate to Veterans at Heather Manor

The Hempstead County Veterans Service Office has coordinated with several local groups to collect gifts to give to the veterans who live at Heather Manor.  Local churches collecting items included the Hope Church of Christ,  Bethany Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, and Providence Baptist Church.  Young people from Providence Baptist Church wrapped and donated large print Bibles.  The John Cain DAR chapter donated items and Sandra May and Bonnie Raff of the DAR helped in delivering the presents to the veterans at the nursing home.
