
HOPE – One person was killed and one injured in a two vehicle collision Wednesday morning on Highway 278 West in front of the Hope Airport. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Robert Chism, 59, of Nashville died as a result of the crash, and Jerry Hillery, 70, of Prescott was injured.
The State Police report said a 2012 Chevrolet driven by Chism was eastbound when it apparently crossed the center-line colliding with a 2008 Ford F-250 driven by Hillery.
The wreck happened at 8:07 am Wednesday morning. Trooper Trevor Dew was the investigating officer. Hope Police Department, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, Hope Fire Department, and Pafford responded.
