PRESCOTT – Prescott’s Food Share held a fundraiser to help purchase needed items to provide for those in need in the city and county.

The fundraiser was a soup luncheon with 22 crock pots of soup. There were plenty of varieties for patrons to choose from including: taco soup, vegetable beef, cheeseburger, dumplings, 2×4 soup, loaded baked potato, tomato basis, white chicken chili and chicken noodle.

This is the first time since 2019 the Food Share has been able to host its soup luncheon because of COVID-19.

All funds raised go back to the Food Share, and everything used in the luncheon was donated. Members of Central Baptist Church made the soups, with Munns Chapel donating the desserts, while Macedonia Baptist providing the drinks. First Baptist provide the soup containers.

The place was packed shortly after it began, though quite a few got an early started and arrived before the 11 a.m. start time.
