HHS gets driving simulator

HOPE – Hope High School recently received a driving simulator purchased with an Innovation Grant from the Arkansas Department of Career and Technical Education. The simulator was provided by L3 Harris based in Melbourne, Florida. Shannon Puckett, CTE Coordinator for Southwest Arkansas Education Cooperative wrote the grant and worked with Hope High School to receive the simulator. According to Puckett, “The simulator will be used next school year to help prepare students to take their (Driver’s License) test.  It has the capabilities to help students prepare for a bus driving CDL.  It has various road condition, weather, traffic, hazard, drunk driving, and vehicle simulations to prepare young drivers.” Principal Patton and Coach Clark took the simulator for a test drive during training in January.
