Hinton Methodist at Patmos Is Member Congregation of Global Methodist Church

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
Hinton Methodist Church became a member congregation of the Global Methodist Church the first day of January 2023, making it one of the first GMC’s in the State of Arkansas.
Hinton Methodist Church was organized on July 15, 1913 at Hinton School near Patmos in Hempstead County in Southwest Arkansas. There were seventeen charter members and the Pastor J.A. Black. In 1915 land on the Hinton family property, across the road from the school, was donated by Mrs Jake for the church building.
In 1942 there were 35 members, eight men, ten women, twelve children and fifteen young people.
In 1951 the church building was moved several miles down the road to land donated by Paul Lyons. The first service in the existing building was the second Sunday of January 1952.
Congratulations to Pastor Ron Eldridge and the members of Hinton Methodist Church! We are so excited that you are part of the Global Methodist Movement in the State of Arkansas!
