Hope Lions Hear Program on Brentwood Industries

The Hope Lions heard a program on Brentwood Industries from Jeff Teague on Monday.  Teague is the Quality Control Manager of Brentwood.  The company has been in Hope since 1994 and dates back to its founding in 1965 in Reading, PA.  The Rye family now owns the company.  The company has 15 facilities in 7 different countries.

The company’s main focus is “thermaforming” and processing plastics.  Many of the items they make are for cooling towers in facilities such as steel mills and petrochemical plants.  The company’s product keeps water from evaporating and allows the company to recycle it through a water treatment facility.  The company also makes a product for water treatment plants.  Teague noted their products will be used in water treatment plants in Memphis, Tennessee which will keep the company going through 2026 in Hope.  The company does some automotive parts and medical packaging in other plants.

Locally, Brentwood has grown in the last year and a half from 85 employees to 150.  They have also recently purchased the old Ritchie Grocery Company facility near their current plant north of I-30 near the County Shop.

The Lions were very receptive to hearing about what Brentwood does locally and about their local expansion.
