John Cain Chapter of DAR Hears About Mount Vernon

The John Cain Chapter of DAR held its monthly March meeting at Hempstead County Library.  Member Betty Harris had the program.  She removed pictures from a Mount Vernon calendar and passed them around so members could see the historic home. She had visited Mount Vernon several times with her family.  She told the chapter about the grounds and the different buildings on the home place.This is one of the objectives of DAR is to preserve historic places for future generations.  If you have any questions about DAR, please call Bonnie Raff, Chapter Regent, at 620-655-3054
