James Black’s Bowie Heritage Festival Draws Folks To Washington
The 2nd annual James Black’s Bowie Heritage Festival was held this past weekend at Historic Washington State Park. The festival featured “Forged In Fire” celebrities Doug Marcaida and Ricardo Vilar as well as world-renowned bladesmiths Jerry Fisk, Lin Rhea, and J.R. Cook. Plenty of vendors were on hand and there were also demonstrations of bladesmithing. One of the highlights was the “cutting” competition as various bladesmiths demonstrated how their knives will cut. Good weather on Saturday especially brought out the crowd’s to Arkansas’s most unique festival.
