SW Arkansas Arts Council Youth Art Awards







The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council Youth Arts Exhibition and Competition were recognized in a reception in their honor on Thursday April 18th. It was the most competitive year yet and so they had an award for those close to first place in talent and above second called “rising star.”
The winners were:
Darci Clayton from Springhill won the 1st Place, age 18 and up. From Hope, for ages 15-17 Alysia McMean won 1st Place, Melody Martinez Rising Star, Reyanna Mendoza 2nd Place and Release C 3rd.
For Homeschool ages 12-14, Madison Comer won first place and Brylin Linzy second.
For Prescott in the age 15-17 3rd place went to Dillon Brown.
From St.James School Olivia Kimmel won the best in the show award.
The reception had cookies and juice for the participants to enjoy.
Jennifer Block encouraged the participants to continue with Art, stating that there were more opportunities to succeed in Art then ever before.
