Music Recital Held at UAHT

On Tuesday April 18th, the UAHT music recital was held at Hempstead Hall. It was a fun event with some talented singing and piano playing. The program started with the instructor Haley Patillo playing “Living Hope” by Philips Wickham and Brian Johnson. For other songs, Ms. Patillo accompanied students on the piano at times playing duets and at other times playing while they sang. The performance had a grandmother and granddaughter performance as well. Close to twenty pieces were performed altogether. Songs included The I like Song, Tell Me Why, Brethren We Have Met to Worship, On My Own. Pieces played included Yankee Doodle, Melody in C and G, Oh! Susanna, Simple Gifts, Hungarian Dance.
Young people participating included Harper Baugh, Khloe Rodgers, Vanessa Rodgers, Hadley Ratcliff, Terri Vandiver, Avie Huett, Jessica Huett, Vivian Willis, and Jaylon Braldey.
Ms. Patillo has an Associate of Arts in Music from Texarkana College, a Bachelor of Music and Vocal Performance from Henderon, and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Stephen F.
