New Building Dedicated For New Liberty Baptist Church At Emmet

New Liberty Baptist Church south of Emmet recently dedicated their new sanctuary. The church tore down their old building in early May 2020 with dirt work commencing in June and the slab being poured on July 18th of 2020. While COVID slowed the pace of work, the building was in the dry by April 2021 and services were held on metal chairs on a bare concrete floor. The pewe were installed in August of 2022.
The dedication program included remarks from pastor Billy Criss Langston and former pastor James Cox. Deacon Tommy Peck, in his remarks, noted the church had records going back to 1890. The deacons and trustees shredded the mortgage at the service with the mortgage being paid off in less than 2 years. Also on hand were the Master Builders who offered many hours of volunteer service.
The church is in revival nightly thorugh Friday May 26th at 7pm each evening. Dr. Roger Copeland is the speaker and the public is cordially invited to attend.
