First responders enjoy fish fry

PRESCOTT – First responders in the area were recognized for the work they do with a fish fry hosted by the Prescott Lions Club Thursday evening at the Potlatch Building.

The club prepared 70 pounds of fish and 50 pounds of fries for the event. The menu also included hamburgers for those who didn’t care for fish, cole law, potato salad and tomato relish.

Those attending were asked to sign in so the club could keep a count of how many were served, along with who showed. There were responders from the Arkansas State Police, Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Fairhills Fire Department, Emmet Fire Department, Laneburg Fire Department and Prescott Fire Department.

To help expedite things, the club purchased two fryers and a grill to be used for future events.
