Juneteenth Fest Weekend Set For June 16th, 17th, and 18th

Vote SoAR will sponsor the annual Juneteenth Fest Weekend June 16th, 17th, and 18th in Hempstead County.

The first activity will be a program called “Black Resistance:  Celebration of History Reception”.  This is set for Friday June 16th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the WPA Gym in Washington.  The public is invited.

“Black Resilience Parade and Festival” is set for Saturday June 17th.  The parade is set to begin at the Henry C. Yerger Museum and will go to North Side Park.  Lineup is at 9:15am with the parade at 10:30am.  The festival begins at 12:30pm at North Side Park.

Sunday June 18th will be a celebration of liberation, Royalty Pageant, and Fatherhood Recognition.
