2023 football schedule interesting for Wolves
PRESCOTT – After making it to the semifinals in the AAA state playoffs last season, the Wolves are expected to again compete toward another state championship.
However, this year’s schedule is different as Prescott will only play five conference games. The remainder will be against non-conference opponents.
The season kicks off with a scrimmage game against Little Rock Mills here on Aug. 17. Kickoff for all games this year will be 7 p.m.
On Aug. 25, the Wolves head to Bismarck for a date with the Lions.
Sept. 1 sees Prescott on the road again, this time to a new foe – the McAlester, OK Buffaloes.
Prescott’s first home game of the regular season will be on Sept. 8 when the Wolves host Fordyce.
Sept. 15 sees Prescott on the road again, sort of, as the Wolves head to Hope.
Sept. 22 will be the first conference game as the Wolves host the Gurdon Go-Devils.
On. Sept. 29, the Wolves take to the road to face Junction City, and stay on the road Oct. 6 as Prescott visits Fouke.
Prescott returned to the friendly confines on Oct. 13 for a rematch against Homer, La. on what was possibly the best game played all year last season.
From there, the Wolves hit the asphalt on Oct. 20 going to Smackover before getting a break and having an open date on Oct. 27.
The regular season comes to a close with the Wolves hosting the Horatio Lions on Nov. 2, a Thursday night game.

Sept. 14, Episcopal Collegiate, here, 5:30 and 7.
Sept. 21, conference game against Gurdon, there, 5:30 and 7.
Sept. 28, Junction City here, 5:30 and 7.
Oct. 5, Fouke, here, 5:30 and 7.
Oct. 12, Hampton, here, 5:30 and 7.
Oct. 19, Smackover, here, 5:30 and 7.
Oct. 25, at Parker’s Chalep, 5:30 and 7.
