We are big fans of Steven Walden, one of Hope’s favorite sons who has had great success in the art world.  We wanted to share this photo he did of Vicki Lawrence as Thelma Harper in “Mama’s Family”.  The photo was taken at the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville held earlier this month.  Fanboy expo is a pop culture/comic-con type event and when Steven saw Vicki Lawrence was coming in character, he painted a picture for the event and had his picture taken with her.   He said he really enjoyed meeting her and her reaction to the painting.  The painting is a 24″ x 24″ acrylic and gouache on canvas and autographed by Vicki Lawrence.  He says it’s for sale, too!  Should you be interested in his work, check out his facebook page.  We’re very proud of him in Hope!
