Mattie Green

Mattie Faye Green, age 90, of Fayetteville passed away Monday July 10, 2023. She was born July 20, 1932 in Laneburg, Arkansas to Wilburn and Rosie Alford Clark. She is a lifelong Methodist and attended Trinity United Methodist in Fayetteville for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joel William Green Sr.; her daughter Regina King and her eight siblings.

She is survived by her son, Joel Green Jr. (Dyanna) of Springdale; sister, Hattie Raye Phipps of Longview, Texas; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:00 am – 10:00 am Thursday July 13, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 10:00 am following the visitation with interment to follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
