Hempstead County 4-H Barn Quilt Workshop

5 Hempstead County 4Hers participated in a Barn Quilting Workshop held Tuesday July 11th at the Southwest Arkansas Arts Council building on Division St. The workshop was led by Terry James, Hempstead County Extension Agent – Staff Chair and Betty Winfield Hempstead County Extension Agent – 4H. Jennifer Block, Executive Director of SWAAC supplied paints and brushes as well as a suitable work area.

Each participant chose a quilt design and then drew their design onto a 1-foot square composite aluminum square. Areas were then masked off and painted to complete their desired design.
