Hope Housing Authority Executive Director relieved of duties

HOPE – The Hope Housing Authority Board, in a called meeting Thursday afternoon (7/13), voted to relieve Executive Director Leola Graves of her duties.

Commissioners held a meeting via ZOOM to discuss matters pertaining to the Executive Director. City Manager, JR Wilson and former City Manager, Catherine Cook, joined the meeting along with the press.  A motion to release Mrs. Graves of her duties was made and seconded.  Three of the five commissioners voted in favor of the removal.  Two of the commissioners did not join the meeting.

The commissioners will confer with officials with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the coming days to seek advice as to the direction they should take going forward.
