New Historical Marker Unveiled in Blevins

Blevins held an official unveiling of a historical marker placed in the center of town on Tuesday evening.   The marker was funded by the Hempstead County Bicentennial.  Josh Williams from the Hempstead County Historical Society came for the unveiling and spoke about Hempstead County being one of the first five counties of Arkansas and 16 markers being placed. Blevins was the cantaloupe capital of the world at one time.

Blevins Mayor Bobby Steed was on hand and thanked people for coming.
