QC meets

PRESCOTT – An ordinance was approved by the Nevada County Quorum Court at its Aug. meeting Tuesday, to amend the road and bridge budget.
This was done to replace the truck the county judge drives that was wrecked earlier this year. After insurance reimbursement, the county will be out roughly $4,000 for the new vehicle.
Nevada County Treasurer Ricky Reyenga asked for and received $4,000 from the county general budget to complete mandatory tasks for broadband in the county. He reminded the panel this is a state requirement and each county has to have a broadband committee, which has to complete several tasks. Reyenga said any money left over would be returned to county general. The goal is to make sure all county residents have access to broadband internet by 2028. Reyenga said there are programs to help low income families get internet service as well.
The court also approved refinancing a trash truck and motor grader with the Bank of Delight.
