Prescott men injured in crash

Clark County – Two Prescott men were injured in a head-on collision Friday evening that killed a third person on Highway 26 in Clark County. According to the preliminary report by the Arkansas State Police, a 2020 Chevrolet driven by a minor (State Police do not release the names of underage persons) was traveling west on Highway 26 and a 1989 Mack truck was traveling east, driven by 56 year-old Terry McKinnon of Prescott, with Kenneth McKinnon, 62, also of Prescott, as a passenger. State Police say the Chevy crossed the centerline in front of the Mack into his lane. The driver of the Mack tried to brake in an attempt to avoid a collision, and the driver of the Chevy tried to get back in his lane, but both vehicles collided head-on with each other.

Both McKinnons were taken to Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. Arkansas State Police Corporal Christopher Harper investigated. The wreck happened at 5:20 pm Friday.
