PRESCOTT – It was coffee time at First United Methodist Church Thursday morning as the church hosted a community coffee.

The place was packed for the community event. Dr. John Noggle said the coffee was held to give people a chance to visit and take a break from their day-to-day business.

Noggle said starting Oct. 1, the church will be “building a caterpillar”. This will be done using stones brought by members of the public. He said they can write their favorite scripture on the rocks, which will be placed starting at the street and going around the building. He got the idea from something he saw on Facebook and thought it would be worth trying. The concept is to use the caterpillar to transform as there will be a butterfly mural on the youth building. The mural will be painted by Liv Kimmel.
