Blevins crash claims life
BLEVINS – A Tuesday morning crash in Blevins killed one person and injured three more. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, a 2021 Kia Sportage driven by Summer Owen, 20, of Blevins, was traveling south on Highway 29. A 1994 Ford Ranger driven by William Putz, 38, of Blevins, was traveling north on Highway 29, when the driver of the Kia apparently attempted a left turn onto Main Street and failed to yield to the Ford striking it nearly head-on.
A minor was killed in the crash. (It is State Police policy to not release the names of minors.) Injured was Owen, and Lacey Herriage, 20, of Hope, in the Kia, along with driver Putz in the Ford. The injured were taken to Christus St. Michael in Texarkana. Trooper Tyler Gentry was the investigating officer
