Chamber plans Halloween events

PRESCOTT – Halloween is going to be a busy time in Prescott.

First, the day kicks off with the business costume contest, where employees will dress in their favorite scary outfits to be judged. Those interested in participating need to let the Chamber know by Oct. 30.

From there, it’s the annual Trick or Treat on Elm Street. Businesses, civic groups and other organizations will line Elm Street from Second to Third streets, so children can come and get all the candy they can carry. This event runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Last year more than 55 vendors gave out candy to more than 1,000 youngsters.

These events are all in fun and are sponsored by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. Anyone wanting to participate in either the business costume contest, or be a vendor for Trick or Treat on Elm Street should call 870-887-2101.
