EVA hosts fall fest
EMMET – Emmet was hopping Saturday with the Emmet Vision Association’s (EVA) Fall Festival.
The festival was held at the old school and across the street where the baseball field was. There was plenty for people to do. For $5, the price of an armband, youngsters could ride the train or play in the bounce house all day long. There was also a corn pit for children to play in, along with other games, including a ring toss.
A petting zoo featured calves, lambs and chickens.
Later on, adults could, for $10, enter a cornhole tournament, domino tournament or horseshoe tourney. There was also a 50/50 raffle and cake walk.
There were several booths with interesting items for sale, and concession stands where people could grab something to eat or drink on the warm afternoon.
