Hope Youth Flag Football

Hope Youth Flag football played on Tuesday night (10-25).  The teams playing were the red team and the green team – third/fourth graders.  Both teams had some exciting runs and the game was exciting to watch. The final score was 24-16 with the red team ahead. First and second graders will be playing on Thursday for the last games of the season. There will be an awards ceremony on Friday at the Coliseum at 6:00 pm.

There will also be an awards ceremony for soccer on Monday (10-30) at the Fair Park Colosseum at 6 pm.

Hope Public Schools has been switching over to flag football for the younger grades in order to protect the students from injuries. While students can still fall and get winded the danger is much less than with tackle football. During the game a player fell and took some time to recover being cheered on by the spectators.
