Haunted house at fairgrounds

PRESCOTT – It’s Halloween, the time when ghosts, goblins, ghouls and things that go bump in the night come out to play.

Project Graduation is hosting a haunted house as a fundraiser for its annual end of the year event for graduating seniors. Members of the senior class have been dressing up for the haunted house to help raise money. There’s plenty of scary things going on at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, where visitors have to walk through the different sections, which includes a slaughter house, cemetery, clowns, zombies and, surprise, a working electric chair – complete with victim.

Tonight is the final night of the haunted house. Gates open at 7 o’clock, so there’s plenty of time to go after attending Trick or Treat on Elm Street. Admission is $10 per person.

Oh, yes, there’s also whips and chainsaws – for a little added scare. Prior to Monday night’s event, hay was put down in the horse barn to cover blood stains.
