Elm packed for Trick or Treat

PRESCOTT – People began lining up for Trick or Treat on Elm Street shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, though the event wasn’t scheduled to begin until 5:30.

Vendors rushed to get their booths set up before start time. Once it kicked off, the crowd, which started at 3rd and Elm, stretched back to 2nd Street and down toward Main. It didn’t thin out until the event was nearly over. In fact, there were so many people it was hard to move through the throng.

Children (of all ages) filled their bags with all sorts of candy as they paraded down Third, turned back to Elm and headed down Second where it ended. Only one side of Elm had vendors as the other was for those lined up for candy. All kinds of costumes were on display, from monsters to superheroes.

No one went home empty handed – other than the vendors who were more than happy to get rid of their candy.
