Carter Wilcox Raising Money To Bring More Books To Clinton Primary
Editor’s note…a lady named Kelly Burns shared this with us and we think you’d like to know so you can help Carter raise money for books for Clinton Primary students…
Have you heard about Carter Wilcox and his campaign? He is raising money this year to allow every child at Clinton Primary who normally never gets to pick a book, has the opportunity to pick a book. We want to get books in hands! We want the book fair to be an awesome experience for EVERYONE, not filled with embarrassment or anxiety. Between 200-300 kids of the 820 enrolled at Clinton never get to pick a book. He has set a 2,000.00 goal. He has donation buckets set up at Main Street Cleaners, Ivan Smith, Hope Floral, Beards and Shears Barbershop, Tailgaters, Red River Credit Union and Dairy Freeze. He has 2 bank accounts set up under Carter’s Class at Farmer’s and Bank of Delight in Prescott. He has a big event planned 11/11 at The Hub. A lot of our local bakers are donating their talent. We will also have kid’s story hour from 10:30-11:30. Jennifer Gentry will be there reading and signing both her children’s books. Jennifer Block will be demonstrating a live painting. Scholastic has agreed to match Carter 100%. All proceeds raised go toward this campaign. If we beat our goal, we hope to extend it into as many years possible for the kids at Clinton! He will be addressing the Lion’s Club at noon on Monday.
