PPD hosts BBQ lunch

PRESCOTT – It was BBQ time at the Prescott Police Department Friday.
The staff at the PPD hosted a BBQ lunch, charging $10 per person as part of a fundraiser for Blue Christmas. People started calling and lining up at the PPD by 10 a.m., though the event wasn’t scheduled to start until 11.
The lunch consisted of a choice of pulled pork or chicken, potato salad and baked beans.
The line consistently stretched outside the PPD and along the sidewalk as people were more than ready to enjoy some BBQ. The meat was prepared by the Prescott Electric Department, while the sides were done by Ann Jordan, police chief.
The money raised will help underprivileged children have a good Christmas this year.
