Hope Holds Veterans Day Parade

Hope held it’s first Veterans Parade in over 20 years Friday through downtown Hope. There was uncertainly about the weather for a couple of days prior to the parade but the wet weather moved out about mid-day and the parade was held. The weather was perfect for a fall day. Many veterans rode in the parade. Sheriff James Singleton drove Grand Marshalls Sgt. Herbert Ross and Col. David Lively. A good crowd turned out for the event which was held a precursor to the Veterans Day program and Lions fish fry scheduled for 11am Saturday at the old courthouse.
