Hope Kiwanis Club Hears From Bobcat Coaches

The Hope Kiwanis Club welcomed Hope Bobcat coaches Sam Bradford, Jonathan Turner, and Philip Turner. Coach Bradford said his team is working on developing a “team chemistry” and recently defeated Arkansas High in the first game of the season. Coach Bradford said the team is heading to a tournament this week at New Boston and the team will also play in a tournament in Paris, Texas around Christmas. Coach Bradford says the team is pretty evenly split among seniors, juniors, and sophomores. He talked about the teams he expects to be good this year including Magnolia, Camden-Fairview, Arkadelphia, and Nashville. Coach Bradford says his team will represent Hope in a positive manner.
Coach Muldrew said she has a big group of 7th grade girls that are “excited about basketball, eager to learn, and hardworking”. Coach Muldrew said twelve seniors graduated last year. The Coach also noted she has one out with an injury they hope to have back after the holiday break. Coach Muldrew says she has 3 seniors, 2 juniors, and the rest are sophomores. She’s expecting nine next year from 9th grade and 15 from 8th grade. The team has two games Thursday, one game on Friday, and hopefully another game on Saturday in the New Boston Tournament.
