John Cain Chapter of DAR Decorates Sanders House at Washington
The John Cain Chapter of DAR met at Washington tavern for lunch and the December meeting. After lunch, 12 members gathered at the Sander House to decorate for the Christmas and Candlelight event on Friday and Saturday. The Sander’s House has 5 fireplaces, 2 bedrooms, a parlor, a dining room, and 2 entry halls. There is also a detatched kitchen with a small bedroom for the cook. Many hands made short work for getting the house decorated.
Our next meeting will be January 11th at the Hempstead County Library to gather information for the year end report of the chapter to the Arkansas State DAR.
