Person Found Injured After Apparently Jumping From Bridge

On Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 at 9:28am, the Hope Police Department was contacted by a
representative of Union Pacific in reference to a subject lying beside the railroad tracks near
Southern Bakery and U.S. Highway 67 (East 3rd Street).
The Hope Police Department and Hope Fire Department, along with Pafford EMS responded to
the scene and located an injured subject near the railroad tracks. The subject told officers on
scene that they had jumped from the railroad overpass bridge on Highway 67 East.
The subject was subsequently transported to a medical facility for their injuries. No criminal
activity is suspected at this time
