Don Teague, 78, of Patmos

Don Teague, 78, of Patmos, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Friday, December 22, 2023.

He was born on September 19, 1945, in Buckner, Arkansas. He was a Christian of Baptist faith and a lifetime resident of Arkansas.

After graduating from Stamps High School in 1963, Don attended Red River Vo-Tech School in Hope, Arkansas majoring in Business Education.  After completing his course of study there, he worked as an office manager for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (District 3) for many years.  He later worked for Carpet Cushion Company in Hope, where he retired.

Don served his community as member of the Patmos City Council from 2009 until his death.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, listening to gospel music and gardening.  Although he only planted a small garden each year, he grew the best tomatoes, which he loved to share with family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Elery and Louise (Altom) Teague; brother, Harold Teague; sister-in-law, Kathryn Teague; and mother-in-law, Augustine Aldridge. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Teague, of Patmos; his daughter, Amanda Grace Pearce, and her husband, Alan, of Stamps; sister, Peggy Minter of Buckner, along with his father-in-law, Ralph Aldridge, brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Glenda Aldridge, all of Stamps; a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, AR with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. John Force officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Union Cemetery in Buckner.
