Mr. Clarence William “Coon-Coon” Stewart, Jr., 53, of Fulton
Mr. Clarence William “Coon-Coon” Stewart, Jr., 53 of Fulton, Arkansas passed away on the evening of Friday, December 22, 2023, at Hospice of Texarkana. He was affectionately known by most of those who knew him as “Coon-Coon” and was a hardworking man who spent several years working for Tysons in Hope. He also worked as a shelf stocker for Boll-Weevil in Fulton, Arkansas, which is where he was employed until his health conditions forced him to have to leave. Most importantly he was a dedicated Christian and active member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton.
Mr. Stewart was born to the late Mr. Clarence William “Peter” Stewart. Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruby Koontz-Stewart January 13, 1970. He was not fortunate enough to have ever been married or have any children, but he was a very good son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was preceded in death by all his grandparents, his parents, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Ms. Edith Stewart of Hope, Arkansas. Four uncles, Mr. Farris (Deborah) Koontz, Rev. Ronald (Clara) Koontz, and Mr. Joseph Koontz, all of Fulton, Arkansas and Mr. Billy Don Stewart of Flint, Michigan. Three aunts, Ms. Dorothy Gilliam of Dayton, Ohio, Ms. Wanda Koontz of Fulton, Arkansas, and Ms. Eddie Lee Wallace of Flint, Michigan. Two special cousins, Ms. Nora Lee Thompson of Arizona, and Mr. Herbert (Renetta) Koontz of Fulton, Arkansas. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and former co-workers.
His service will be held, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Union Missionary Baptist Church; 201 Towson Street; Fulton, Arkansas, where Pastor Richard C. Black will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. There will be a public visitation in the church from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. and his interment will be at Crofton Cemetery 200 – 202 Funderburg Road; Mineral Springs, Arkansas, immediately following the service.
