Ms. Earnestine Jefferson, 74, of Nashville

Nashville, AR

Ms Earnestine Jefferson was born December 17, 1949 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Fred and Clara Jefferson.

 

She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended St. Luke CME church in Ozan, AR where she was baptized.

 

She attended school in Clow, AR until it closed, and she later transferred to  Washington High School where she graduated from.  She went to college in Texarkana where she got a certificate in Business. Shortly after receiving her certificate, she worked as a secretary in Texarkana. When she relocated back to Nashville, Arkansas, she worked 35 years at Jan Eze Plating where she retired from, and she continued her employment at Wal Mart of 30 (+) until her health forced her to retire from there.

 

Earnestine was known for her infectious laugh and outstanding Customer Service at Wal Mart. She was also known for making the best german chocolate cakes. She loved being around her family and she loved spending time with her friends; Ella B., Gwen, Mary Lois, Pam, Pauline, Laura and a host of other friends from Jan Eze and Wal Mart. ,

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, aunties and uncles; her brothers, Charles and Fred Jr., her sister, Shirley, her cousin/brother, Jessie Dixon and her grandson, Jaylen Willis.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories:

 2 Daughters:  Monica Macon (Greg) of Texarkana, AR and Tabitha Willis of Dallas, TX

 

1 Granddaughter: Nikita King (Timothy) of Texarkana, AR

               

1 Great Grandson: Jaeden King of Texarkana, AR

 

4 Sisters:  Dorothy Sanders (Jerrel) of Flint, MI,  Mary Ann Williams (Thomas) of Nashville, AR; Fern Dixon (Johnny) of Nashville, AR; Doris Walker (Wallace) of Texarkana, AR

 

3 Brothers:  Edward Jefferson of Nashville, AR, Larry Jefferson of  Dallas, TX,       Darrell Jefferson of Grand Prairie, TX

Cousin/Sister: Joella Johnson, Kansas City, MO

Cousin/ Brother: James Calvin Dixon, Flint, MI

 

And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

                                      

Visitation will be 12-2pm Saturday at Bethel AME Church, 418 S. Laurel, Hope.  Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, December 31 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Nashville, AR.  Burial will be at Camp Springs Cemetery in Columbus.  Arrangement entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
