Curry hosts first coffee of year

PRESCOTT – Curry’s Community Outreach hosted the first community coffee of 2024 Thursday morning at the Nevada County Library.

There was a good crowd in spite of the chilly temperatures. Everyone was welcomed by Jamie Hillery, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. Ivory Curry thanked everyone for coming and for helping the outreach have its best year ever. He talked about being excited with the challenges the community has, saying the goal of the outreach is to bring people together. “It’s all about the heart of service and making Prescott a better place.”

Curry said it takes a lot of people to make the outreach successful and nothing could be done without the volunteers and members of the community who pitch in to help. All donations, he said, go back into the community.
