Gov. Sanders On Hand for Announcement of $40 Million Investment, 266 New Jobs at Hope Baking Company
A highlight of Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders visit to Hope was the announcement of the addition of jobs and investment by Hope Baking Company. There was an introduction by Anna Powell, Economic Development Commission President. She talked about Dan Serra’s passion for employees and entrepreneurial spirit and the long track record the company has in the area.
Serra talked about the supportive community, honoring County Judge Jerry Crane, State Representative Danny Watson, Mayor Don Still as well as the Governor. Hope Baking Company will make a $40 million investment and over a two year period add 266 employees.
Powell talked about the Governor’s standout reduction in red-tape.
Governor Sanders said she was very excited about what is happening here, stating it was a special day and this investment is a big one for anywhere in Arkansas.
Clint O’Neill from the Economic Development Commission spoke thanking those were involved. Serra was recognized as an incredible entrepreneur, having a great business and growing the business. Economic Development was said to be a team sport.
Powell thanked many people including the Economic Development Commission, Arkansas Department of Commerce, Governor Sanders.
