Valeria Lewis

Our family unexpectedly lost our family’s matriarch, Valeria “Ruby” Lewis on January 01, 2024. She was just 79 years old. Valeria was born and raised in the Philippines to Quintin & Viviana (Bibay) Clamosa-Biong. She was one of 6 siblings (Rita, Tansing, Isabel, Francing and Ending) . On December 14, 1967, Valeria married her beloved late husband and United States Sailor Richard Lewis, who brought her to San Diego, California where they spent 15 +  years until they ultimately ended up in their forever home of Fulton, Arkansas. They spent about 50 years happily married, raising their family and tending to their farmland together.

Richard and Valeria had three children, George, Rowina and Rodney. Besides caring for her family,

Valeria’s true passion in life was growing plants, decorating, farming and taking care of her animals that she shared jointly with Richard on their farm. In her more recent years, Valeria enjoyed taking advantage of her special “green thumb” which she used to nurse and care for any plants that crossed her path. She also enjoyed her animals, watching TV, chatting with her comadres, or simply spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Valeria loved to help her family whenever she could. She especially loved going to church where it gave her much joy to volunteer her time helping the community.  Valeria was a devout Catholic who always prayed and believed in the Lord. Her faith kept her strong until she was able to be reunited again in heaven with her husband Richard.

Valeria is survived by her children: George & Melinda, Rowina & Nicole and Rodney & Vivian and her grandchildren Jasmine & Phillip, Teena & Todd, Rebecca & Colby, Valori, Alexandra & Kyle, Alexandria & Jonathan, Mai-Yumi , Malia,  along with her seventeen great grandchildren (Ta’Ani, Malosi, Lalelei, Manuia, Inina, Abigail, Ezekiel, Zavier, Eliyahna, Izayah, Stephen, Cairi, Sebastian, Yvonne, Ahmaia, Khadeyn & Marley), As well as her siblings in the Philippines: Tansing, Francing & Ending and many more friends, extended family members, and loving coworkers and church congregation that she considered family.
