Hope Snow Day

A winter storm dropped a quarter inch to a half inch of snow and sleet on Hope Sunday into Monday (1-15).  Due to extremely cold temperatures that remained in the teens, everything that fell stuck making what would be a minor event fairly major.  ArDot road crews were continually plowing and treating the highways while secondary streets and roads remained covered with frozen precipitation.  While the precipitation was forecast to end around 11am, light snow continued in downtown Hope past 2pm.

Roads are expected to be hazardous Tuesday morning when the low should be around 9 degrees.  The temperature is expected to rise into the upper 30’s on Wednesday.
