Message From Judge Crane on Hempstead 27

Hempstead County Judge Jerry Crane has sent us this message….Please use extreme caution on Hempstead County Rd. 27 N and the surrounding roads in this area in Bingen. They are underwater and you may not be able to get through them and take an alternate route if possible. Please remember to turn around, don’t drown.

Here’s a picture of Hempstead County Road 18 by Mark Johnson.  When you see a road covered like this, DO NOT attempt to drive through it.  It takes just a few inches of water running over a road to sweep a vehicle off the road and into a flood situation.
