DAR honors PJHS students

PRESCOTT – Only students from the Prescott School District participated in this year’s DAR George Washington Tea.

The tea was held at the First United Methodist Church. This year’s theme required students to research the life of John Phillip Souza and why he wrote “Stars and Stripes Forever”.

Winners were named in grades five through seven. Tanner Glass was the fifth grade winner, with Quincie Ross the winner in the sixth grade and Arden Gonzales the seventh grade winner. Their essays have been sent to the state competition.
