Hope Methodist preschool hosting Children’s Week

HOPE – On March 5, 2024, Hope Methodist Church Preschool will host the Arkansas Children’s Week training for staff from various preschools in our area. This training will involve about 45 staff
members from several schools in Hope, Prescott, and surrounding communities. During the training, staff will learn about the history of Arkansas Children’s Week, the theme for this year, and
how to implement the planned events in their schools & classrooms. We are so excited to be a part of this exciting state-wide celebration and we are looking forward to spending the evening with
wonderful preschool staff & trainers at Hope Methodist Church.
Arkansas Children’s Week (ACW) celebrates children, educators, and families and offers opportunities to highlight the important work done in our communities and throughout the state by
preschools & preschool staff. ACW has been a statewide tradition for more than 30 years.
The focus for ACW 2024 is Sharing Key Experiences. During the training, staff will consider ways to support learning and development through five key experiences.
• Constructive Experiences, when children design and build.
• Imaginative Play, when children pretend.
• Creative Expression, when children communicate through art, music, and more.
• Exploratory and Investigative Experiences, when children discover the world around them.
• Active, Physical Play, when children experience movement and motion through vigorous play.
This year Arkansas Children’s Week will be held April 6-12 and staff at Hope Methodist Preschool are beyond excited to participate.
