Ribbon Cutting held for Farmers Insurance

PRESCOTT – A ribbon cutting was held for Farmers Insurance Thursday morning.

The business is located next to the Prescott Police Department and is owned by Samantha Hayes. Hayes has been in the insurance business for nine years, eight with State Farm. She made the transition to Farmers because it offered a better opportunity. The LLC was done in the name of Hayes Insurance in case any of her four children, all boys, ages 17, 13, 11 and nine, want to get involved with the business later on. Farmers offers general insurance, home, auto, life, commercial business, farm, ranch and flood insurance.

Her husband owns Hay-Barn Automotive as well as a local wrestling company. The family owns a number of businesses, including a boutique a ribbon cutting will be held for at a later date.

Jamie Hillery, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce,welcomed Farmers Insurance to the community and pointed out Hayes is an active member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver also congratulated the Hayes for all the businesses they own and operate in Prescott. He said they have more businesses than “you can shake a stick at”, including Hay-Barn Wrestling. “We’re proud of all this family has done for Prescott and glad they’ve opened this business.”
